2012 Grand Prairie MLK Day Parade

Live Stone had the pleasure to participate in the 2012 Grand Prairie, Texas MLK Day parade.

Welcome. We appreciate your interest in Live Stone Lodge No. 152. We are a Prince Hall Affiliated Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons operating under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas in District 11. We are a non-profit organization which embodies an attractive system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. Our fraternity, is founded upon principles established in the Holy Bible and strives to teach a man the duty he owes to God, his neighbor, his family and to himself – as we say “Making Good Men Better.” The foundation of this institution is character of our members, its purpose is service to our communities, and its measure is giving to those less fortunate.

We can only know the fullest joys of Masonry when we truly walk the paths of service and of hard work in the quarries. ~ George E. Burow

History

Seeing the need for brotherhood and fraternity to bind the community together, Live Stone’s forefathers were granted a charter in 1903 from the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas. Our original building was constructed in a freed slave settlement known as “The Line”, and was later moved, in 1944, to the Dalworth neighborhood where it remains today.

Fraternity

Since 1903 men from all walks of life have joined together within the walls of this Lodge on common ground to practice Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth to our community. We place on our fellow man the highest possible valuation as a friend, an associate, and a neighbor. We appreciate the privilege of working at our Brother’s side for the betterment of mankind.

Service

Philanthropy is an inseparable part of Freemasonry Society and are not just limited to monetary contributions. We strive to extend charity in the truest sense by demonstrating the virtues of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth to our members, the Grand Prairie Community, and the State of Texas. To support in this effort we participate in and host a number of events in activities throughout the year.
